FAMILIES MATTER ACT
THE STORY OF FAMILIES MATTER ACT
The Families Matter Act was created by Fordham University MSW students, Katherine Carrill and Trudy Collings in the summer of 2022.
The goal of the policy and the campaign is to advocate for a federal policy that offers all working Americans universal paid family leave. When this is realized, greater social, racial and economic justice can be achieved as well as greater gender equity and a reduction in child poverty.
